Fascinated by the interplay of movement, light, and patterns, Emma Turid Williamson inhabits a liminal space through the camera lens where these elements converge to shape new realities.
Her practice spans photography, poetry, and installation, allowing her to examine the shifting nature of perception and the fluid boundaries between the seen and the unseen.
Transformation is central to her practice. She creates visual environments that invite the viewer to pause, breathe, and turn inward, stepping into a space for contemplation.
The relationship between the elements fire, water, earth, air and ether is a central influence throughout the creative process. For Williamson, the photographs take on a physical and spiritual veiling, becoming another step in the exploration.
